The IU Diet
Disclaimer: restrictive dieting is unhealthy and should not be done by children, older people, those with health problems, pregnant women, and those with eating disorders. This is not a long-term diet. Do not attempt for longer than a week.

This is definitely one of the more popular kpop diets out there, and it is definitely one of the most restrictive. However, it promises fast results in a short amount of time, and as I have a big event coming up, I have to lose a few pounds quickly to fit into my dress.
IU stats:
5 ft. 3.75 inches /162 cm (official height)
45 kg / 99.2 lbs
IU claims to have lost 8.8 lbs, or 4 kg, over the course of 4 days. Here’s how she did it:
Food
Breakfast: one apple
Lunch: one sweet potato
Dinner: one protein shake
Exercise: 1 hour of aerobic exercise

My goal will be to last 3 days on this diet (my big event is in 3 days). Here’s how I did it:
Day 1:
Breakfast: 1 apple
Lunch: 1 Okinawa yam
Dinner: 1 protein shake (this is the one I used during the 3 days)
Exercise: 20 minutes of hula-hooping, 40 minutes of walking around the neighbourhood
I didn’t feel too bad today. My meals were condensed as I woke up later, so I didn’t feel too hungry. I did feel slightly irritable, but that’s pretty common when you’re dieting.
Day 2:
Breakfast: 1 apple
Lunch: 1 Okinawa yam
Dinner: 1 protein shake, 2 boiled eggs
Exercise: 1 hour of walking around the neighbourhood
I was so hungry today. I had to have an extra few calories during lunch, as I just couldn’t stand the hunger. I know tomorrow is going to be even worse, but the good thing is that tomorrow will be the last day on this diet.
Day 3:
Breakfast: 1 apple
Lunch: 1 Okinawa yam
Dinner: 1 protein shake
Exercise: N/A
I couldn’t exercise today. I was way too tired. I would not recommend doing this diet for longer than 3 days. I have no idea how IU lasted longer.

Results
Starting Weight: 129 lbs / 58.5 kgs
Current Weight: 122.7 lbs / 55.6 kgs
I lost 6.3 lbs/ 2.9 kg in 3 days
Side effects of the diet:
- Feeling cold
- Headache
- Tired/Low Energy
- (very) Irritable
